Attitudes of Non-native Speakers of English Studying in Australia towards World Englishes

چکیده

The present study explores attitudes of non-native speakers English studying in a reputable university Melbourne, Australia, towards world Englishes. In particular, the investigates different between students enrolled subject, which indirectly promotes students’ acceptance them and those who have not taken subject uses direct approach, allows informants to give an account their (McKenzie, 2010). By adopting questionnaire designed by Yoshikawa (2005), seeks answer two research questions: (1) Do taking from Englishes? (2) Linguistic-Related majors Non-Linguistic-Related findings will contribute literature on Englishes identification possible way promote results show that are taking/have tend more positive non-Inner Circle varieties than subject. Similar also shown among grouped based Linguistics-Related ones acceptant. However, there is no significant difference regarding toward Inner English.
